About Ben Heinen
Ben Heinen grew up on a dairy farm in Sheboygan Falls and learned about hard work at a young age. Quickly realizing he had no interest in taking over the family farm, Ben went to the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh for Marketing and wound up meeting his future wife, Debbie, and also learned his love for outside sales and entrepreneurship through a summer program with the Southwestern Company. After college Ben worked in outside sales roles in several industries including insurance, commercial real estate, and marketing. When he was looking for a change in 2015, he set out to find the best company to represent, regardless of industry. As fate would have it, Heartland Payment Systems was ranked the #1 Company to Sell For according to Selling Power Magazine, so he applied, got hired, and the rest is history.
Ben is passionate about helping others and serves as a Player/Coach at Heartland. While guiding a top ranked team, he enjoys building and developing strategic partnerships with financial institutions (banks), software companies, point of sale dealers, and web developers. Over the years Ben has brought value to a diverse portfolio of clients that process credit cards and run payroll through Heartland. The list includes restaurants and bars, gas stations and convenience stores, breweries, coffee shops, retail stores, meat markets, liquor/wine/beer, grocery, medical offices, veterinarians, dental, optometrists, auto repair, HVAC, plumbing, e-Commerce, Non-Profits, a variety of B2B companies and many more. Ben loves his career because his teammates, partners, and clients have become some of his best friends.
Ben lives in Appleton with his wife Debbie and their two daughters, Kinsley and Aubrey. As a family they enjoy new adventures, spending time with friends and family, and pretty much anything related to sports and the outdoors.
